Muslims and Christians both believe in the Crucifixion but differ on the identity of the crucified person. Muslims believe that the likeness of Jesus was crucified, but the Qur'ān does not provide any information about the identity, process, time, location, or reason for this exchange. Some Muslims suggest that God wished to save Christ from crucifixion. As this deception raises questions about God's honesty and integrity, it creates difficulty for Muslims to accept the idea of a misleading Allah.
The Qur'ān is a single document that Muslims believe to be the true account of the Crucifixion. They argue that this narrative is authentic, but the authenticity of supporting documents and the credibility of the writers cannot be verified.

Jesus Christ, as identified in the New Testament, was crucified according to Old Testament prophecies. The events occurred during the week of Passover, fulfilling a 1000-year-old prophecy. Jesus was arrested, beaten, questioned, tried, and convicted, ultimately sentenced to death. He was crucified between two thieves at Golgotha.
The Gospels, written in the first century AD by eyewitnesses and early followers, provide a living testimony of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection. The gospel accounts reveal that Satan would have been the beneficiary if someone else had died instead of Jesus. However, Christ's death benefited the whole world, providing access to redemption and forgiveness of sins.

The Gospels reveal Jesus Christ's death on the cross, burial, and resurrection, which was prophesied throughout the Old Testament. He was wounded for our transgressions and iniquities. He was chastised for our peace. The New Testament testifies about the fulfillment of these prophecies, as Christ bared our sins in His own body on the cross, urging us to live unto righteousness. Christ chose to die of His own free will, though He was sinless, dying on our behalf to take away our sins. Christ came to die for you and for me, and through believing in His crucifixion and resurrection, you will receive eternal life and become a new creation.
